Downtown los angeles arts district wedding

I always enjoy shooting weddings at The Millwick, a Marvimom venue in the Arts District in downtown Los Angeles. It is a former industrial warehouse that has been repurposed into a very tastefully curated venue. The lighting in the lush Courtyard is always great for ceremonies, keeping the couple and their guests comfortable and looking great! The open floor plan that freely flows from indoor to outdoor make it a fun, easy venue to enjoy a wedding you can truly make your own. Luke and Ali’s wedding was a wedding I really enjoyed shooting this fall. They were super easy going and so delightful to work with. I left them plenty of time to mingle and have their own space to be present with their guests, which they appreciated.
I’ve realized now that 70% of the magic of shooting weddings in in having great sense around when to give space, when to let your clients linger in meaningful organic moments vs when a little nudge of direction might be welcome. I think I’ve really honed a great balance of this, and finding that perfect balance that my couples enjoy.
I hope to shoot many more weddings at Millwick and the other amazing Marvimom properties.
